I really enjoyed your site. It was very informative and very well done! I would have like to have seen a couple post-op pictures to see the outcomes of genital trauma and penile reconstruction after they had time to heal. (You had the one of the Istanbul Flap right after it was stitched but not after it had healed.) Thank you for bringing up this uncomfortable topic. I think that it is very important especially for anyone who was still under the delusion that there is something glamorous about war. Overall the site is impressive.
I completely agree with you Marcus, but even finding photos for the Istanbul flap was really difficult. I looked pretty hard for before and after photos, but I think due to the nature of the military, they don’t take before and after photos, they just focus on saving the life. I’ll keep looking though. Thank you for your input!
I am so glad you picked this topic. I was already curious on injuries on genital areas of the ones who experience wars, and this wiki really gave me insights on how surgeries are done. The forearm flap and other penile reconstruction were so interesting. This wiki is so informative and love the pictures you have provided. As you have said, I don’t think it would have been easy to find those pictures, but you did well!
